It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Tony “Paddy” Grealish. He had fought cancer for the last 18 months but unfortunately was unable to beat this and he passed away last night in Ilfracombe. Paddy played 76 times for the Albion including 11 substitute appearances scoring 5 goals. Tony was a midfield player who joined the Albion from Brighton Hove Albion in March 1984 for £80,000. His other clubs included Leyton Orient, Luton Town, Manchester City and Walsall. He was a regular in the Irish side making 47 International appearances. A few years after his career ended he moved to Marbella and lived near his close friend Derek Statham. He moved back to the UK 18 months ago and was diagnosed with colon cancer.
He leaves two children Jordana & Garrett and we send our deepest sympathy to them both.
