“Its been a busy week for many of our Association members, as well as having ‘Regis Trophy’ golf competition at Sutton on Thursday, the Regis Suite was packed to the rafters for the visit of Derby County to The Hawthorns on the Tuesday wjth Secretary Geoff Snape and Treasurer Norman Westbury, joined by the Chairman Ray Wilson and Guests, Adrian Foster and family and sixties ‘Villa slayer’ Jack Lovatt, who having recently celebrated his 80th birthday, was presented with a signed Albion shirt by Ray Wilson on behalf of his family.”

“On the other side of the Shrine, Martin Bennett, Steve Lynex, Mark Grew and Derek Monaghan, pulled together their tremendous knowledge to entertain the Corporate guests in the East Stand Suites, as well as accompanying guests on Stadium tours. Ray and Mark, fully recovered from a frustrating Tuesday night, would be ‘on duty’ once again on the Thursday (16th Sept) for the tri-club golf challenge with Villa and Wolves former players, which Secretary Geoff Snape has reported on elsewhere on the site.”
