Without doubt, the best night at The Hawthorns for many a night, when the ‘one’s and only’ Willie Johnston and Mick Martin breezed into town, chauffered in by another ‘Hawthorns’ superstar Gary Robson, and supported by probably the ‘best double act’ in the business, Joe Mayo and Ally Robertson, and you have an amazing evening of memories, humour, laughter and passion, that left you tingling with joy…..and a smile as wide as the nearby M5 as you made your way home. It was all wrapped up with simply excellent presentation by the maestro himself Tom Ross, when you say ‘simply the best’ then that is what you got. Added to that, great raffle prices and auction memorabilia, that kept the evening alive from start to finish.

For all this we have to say thanks to the Shareholders for Albion along with Geoff Snape and the absent though illness Norman Westbury of the Former Players Association for making this thoroughly entertaining evening possible.
The standing ovation at the evenings conclusion said it all.
