Where has the time gone, Monday 29th June saw us celebrate our 24th Annual Golf Day at Walsall Golf Club. Another idyllic day for golf but the usual stressful preparation 😂, golfers playing over the weekend and handicaps changing, golfers dropping out at the last minute and a sub having to be found. We survived and at 1.30pm the shotgun went.
Unfortunately, our usual starter for the last 24 years, Richard Lambert, was unable to be with us. As the Walsall Golf Club Professional for most of those years and then as our starter and scorecard checker, Richard helped in every way, so our thanks to current Head Pro Adam Bryant for stepping in this year.
A difficult golf course, affected by the recent heatwave, was a challenge for all but as usual individuals and teams met that challenge and produced match winning scores. 17 Teams took part and we are grateful to everyone, in particular to our Sponsors:

We welcomed a special guest this year in Ron Atkinson, at the age of 86, it was great to see him on the golf course, well chauffeured by Kate Sammon.
