With the visitors to The Hawthorns Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, it of course meant the return of former ‘boss’ Tony Mowbray to the Shrine.
The result of course would not have been in Tony’s ‘script for the day’ with Albion staging a terrific recovery, coming back from two goals down to win at the last gasp with a memorable 3-2 victory.
In the Richardson Suite another Hawthorns hero Darren Moore entertained the Corporate guests along with Wembley 1993 hero Nick Reid, with Nicky joined by Gary Hackett in the the other East stand suites.
On the other side of the ‘Shrine’ President Brendon Batson OBE was joined by Mark Grew and Ally Robertson in the Regis Suite, with Brendon joining Geoff Snape and Darren Moore pitchside at half time to present a club cap to the relatives of a 1919/20 hero Fred Morris.
All in all, a very good days work, and James Morison and his team now move on to Preston next week.
